Cara McGlades band

Cara McGlades band is made up of swedish, french & norwegian/irish musicians living in Norway, all well known on the Irish circuit in Ireland, continental Europe and Scandinavia. The band was formed in the spring of '2009 to provide an outlet for the talents of several individually acclaimed musicians who together create their own unique sound. Their music literally springs from a fine blend of traditional ballads and newly written songs, mixed with the best of Irish dance tunes and some new compositions from Ireland and Brittany in France.

Karina McGlade: vocals, guitar, bodhran

Åsa Ringborg: fiddle

Serge Grando: tenor banjo, whistles, guitar, fiddle & bouzouki

Vi har spilt tradisjonell irsk musikk fra tenårene av, og sammen i Norge fra midten av 90’ tallet. Vi er (og har vært) medlemmer i flere av de fineste tradisjonelle irske bandene i Skandinavia: Tara, Humdingers, Clonakilty, Cara McGlade band. Disse bandene har gjennom årene spilt på alle de største festivaler i Norden, bla. i Falun, Tønder, Copenhagen Irish Festival, Bø i Telemark, flere festivaler i Frankrike og i Irland m/m… Vi har gjennom årene opptrådt på TV- og i radio, både her i Norge og internasjonalt, og har spilt inn en rekke CD og videoer.
